Kyrgyzstan is famous for its lakes. There are approximately 2000 lakes in Kyrgyzstan. Its area takes almost 6836 km2. Many small lakes are situated in mountains. They situated at altitude between 2500 and 4000 meters above sea level. They were found in the result of glaciation. Also, 16 of the lakes have a surface area of over 1 km2. We present to your attention Issyk Kul! It is the only lake that considered being the pearl of the Tian Shan. This is the only lake which never freezes.
